Manado, September 16, 2024BIOPAC, an innovative company in the field of environmentally friendly packaging, in collaboration with  the Manado Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag), successfully held  Technical Guidance (Bimtek) Export Management Training for Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) in the Manado region on August 6, 2024.

This activity aims to empower SMEs to be better prepared to compete in the global market, with a special focus on implementing sustainable business practices that utilize environmentally friendly products.

This technical guidance was held as part of BIOPAC’s efforts  to support sustainability missions that are in line with government programs, especially in strengthening the SME sector which is the backbone of the local economy.

Through this event, SMEs in Manado are invited to understand the importance of adopting sustainability-oriented business practices  and how they can contribute to efforts to reduce plastic waste, which is also a global environmental issue.

Focus on Sustainable Products and Exports

With the theme “Export Management Training for Small and Medium Industries (SMEs)”, this training underlines the importance of sustainable products in expanding international market access.

BIOPAC as a provider of environmentally friendly packaging based on biodegradable materials, explained how sustainable packaging can increase the attractiveness of local products in the eyes of international consumers who are increasingly concerned about environmental impacts.

The use of eco-friendly packaging, such as those provided by BIOPAC, is one of the simple but effective ways to support sustainability. This is very relevant for SMEs who want to increase the competitiveness of their products in the global market.

In the midst of fierce competition in the export market, more environmentally friendly packaging not only helps to reduce carbon footprint, but also increases the added value of products.

BIOPAC’s Commitment to Sustainability

As a manufacturing company that focuses on eco-friendly products, BIOPAC is committed to continuing to collaborate with various stakeholders, including the government, SMEs, and the community. This commitment is realized through the provision of plastic-free packaging solutions, which have been proven to reduce plastic pollution in the ocean and soil.

SMEs who take part in this training are expected not only to adopt greener business practices, but also to contribute to the wider circular economy. With a total of 64 million MSMEs in Indonesia, SMEs are expected to be one of the vanguards in the transition towards a sustainable economy.

Participant Support and Response

In his remarks, a representative from BIOPAC stated, “We are very excited to help SMEs in Manado enter the global market with environmentally friendly products. We believe that with sustainable packaging, SME products can be highly competitive and have a positive impact on the environment.”

The response of the participants to this training was very positive. Many of them feel motivated to start switching to plastic-free packaging and commit to greener business practices. Some participants have even started placing orders for eco-friendly packaging from BIOPAC, as part of  their sustainability transformation strategy.

Looking Ahead

With the implementation of this event, it is hoped that more and more SMEs will be inspired to follow in a similar footsteps, not only in Manado but also in other regions in Indonesia. BIOPAC hopes that through trainings like this, small and medium industries can be more confident in facing global market challenges and at the same time make a real contribution to environmental conservation.
